Ballroom Dance – Round 2!

LoricatClasses, Services, Victoria Events

Ballroom dance in the Forum’s Studio is an intimate affair. With class sizes limited to only 5 couples, everyone receives personalized attention.

Our own Keith is a teacher who truly enjoys the process of introducing people to the hobby he was born into:

“My love for dance came from a very early age, when I saw my parents jive together. Watching them do aerials instilled in me a love for the jive.”

Two dancers in the Fisgard St Forum studio.

In 1998, he joined the UVIC ballroom dance club and shortly thereafter started competing at various ballroom dance competitions, eventually making it to the silver and gold levels. In 2006, he had the opportunity to start teaching, and found that he enjoyed teaching more than competition – so he has been teaching International and American style ballroom ever since. As he puts it:

“I am also able to teach East Coast Swing, Salsa, Mambo, the Lindy Hop and, unfortunately, the Hustle.”

After the first successful round of classes, we’re ready to offer the next start date: Thursday, May 4th. Contact fisgardstforum at gmail dot com to register. Ten weeks of classes are only $75 per person.
